November Script-Time:Gracefully Broken

Hey LE Family, today we are very lightly looking at disappointments, how we deal with the emotions that are attached to being let down or disappointed. I am pretty sure that those of you reading this, have either been through, come out off or going through something that is/has caused you pain.
I too, like you have experienced my share of disappointments. Been let down, rejected, pushed a side, be that within work life, family, relationships, health, finances, friendships or simply just by having high exceptions of those around me. Then feeling disappointed within myself for even having those expectations….I know some of you can defo relate to that!

It is inevitable that at some point in life we will experience some form of sadness, pain, hurt and despair.

I have come to realise and accept, that at times we can all be gracefully broken!!! And that it is okay!!!!!
Let me tell you, despite popular belief, I have to work harder than you think to be nice and pleasant, cheerful and uplifting.

One does not always deal with disappointment easy, however, one is learning to manage my intense feelings and my over the top responses. 🙊

We serve the God of the seen and the unseen. Our God sees us and knows us intimately, He knows our pain, He has given us tools to help us through the rough time.♥️

Tasha Cobbs Leonard – Gracefully Broken

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” –Isaiah 55:8-9

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” -Jeremiah 29:11

I have believe that God is telling us in both Isaiah and Jeremiah, that we have limited vision, wants and desires. That often we set our sites on things and situations that are far lower, than what God has planned for us. Be that a particular job, a certain type of husband/wife, even your purpose in life.

God’s plan’s is bigger than anything that we could comprehend!

He knows what is good for us and what is not, even though it hurts there are times when our disappointments are blessings.

I remember super upset about not getting a job, only to find out 2 months later the company had lost their funding!By this time I had secured a nice manager role 🙂
Also it is important to point out that sometimes, it takes a painful disappointment to teach us a skill or strengthen our faith or to put us in the right place at the right time.
We don’t know God’s ways or His thoughts, we just have to believe in His promise. When I say you have to believe, what I mean is, is that you have to believe that God has got this thing in His hands.

He is looking out for you! He is working out a plan that is bigger than you, and you are going to be better for it in the end.

What is your personal reflection?

This is one of my go to songs, that reminds me that God is a promise keeper!

What are your personal actions ?

Say your own personal prayer…. Spend some time talking to your Heavenly Father.

Tell Him your heartache.

Tell Him about the plans you had and ask Him to show you why He’s taken them away.

I promise you that He has good in this for you, and it’s okay to ask Him what that good is.

Listen to this beautiful song ♥
