First off HAPPY 2019…I know am late but there’s a reason to which I will explain. Secondly happy 1st birthday to Life Essence. A precious platform that enables us bloggers to express, to share, to create awareness, to be real and to keep it real with no judgement or prejudices. Bearing in mind we are not qualified or certified writers, just individuals using this platform to blog.

Wonderful people of God during my last blogs, the Lord took me on a path of truth where I had to be true to myself, to God, my family and peers. Well to say the truth will set you free…is an understatement. Right now I am flying high with the Lord.
At the start of the New Year, traditionally most churches, often start the year with prayer and fasting. We pray and fast on a certain topics/agendas and take it from there. May I be honest this year I did not participate as I did not feel led to. First off I questioned if I was being rebellious but to be brutally honest my heart wasn’t in it as I my mind was preoccupied with other matters.
My father has been diagnosed with cancer (again) and upon hearing the news, your mind automatically thinks the worst. I decided to seek the Lords face asking for answers and the Lord told me two words… IT’s TIME. I replied for what? He replied to “TRUST ME”!
You see we pray and fast and fast and pray but the Lord has been telling me in layman terms to TRUST HIM. Proverbs 3:5-6 states, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” NIV. Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you” ESV. Romans 10: 11, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame” NIV.
I questioned how do you trust God during these times? What does it take to trust the Lord? What if I cannot trust God when things appear to look bleak? I kept it real with my Father and He kept taking me back to the TWO words…TRUST ME.
Although I never fasted per say I did take the time to fellowship with the Lord seeking His face as to what he requires from me in 2019. A New Year with new challenges, hopes, prayers consistent prayers and new visions and beliefs.
What was downloaded in my spirit so far, the Lord keeps continuing to tell me ‘ITS TIME to…’
I look forward to sharing with you what the Lord has been revealing to me to which I hope will minister and bless you. I can assure you I will NOT take too long for the next blog as I am excited to share what the Lord continues to do in my life. As I have said before I am just a sinner saved by grace, washed by His blood.
